Setup
Install Arazio
Arazio is a direct download from this site. It is not on the Mac App Store.
Requirements
- An Apple silicon Mac — M1 or later
- macOS 13 Ventura or later
Arazio does not run on an Intel Mac.
Install it
- Download the disk image.
- Open it. A window appears with Arazio and a shortcut to Applications.
- Drag Arazio onto Applications.
- Eject the disk image and open Arazio from Applications.
The first launch
Arazio is signed with an Apple Developer ID and notarized by Apple, so it opens normally. The first launch may pause for a moment while macOS checks the notarization with Apple — that is a one-off.
Arazio has no Dock icon and no main window. It appears in the menu bar. That is not it failing to launch.
Accessibility permission
Arazio needs one permission, and it will ask on first launch.
To notice a modifier key during a drag, an app has to be allowed to observe input events, and macOS puts that behind Accessibility. Without it the ring never appears, because Arazio never learns you pressed ⇧.
Grant it in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility, with the switch next to Arazio turned on.
It is not used for anything else. What Arazio sends, and what it does not.
Why not the App Store
The App Store sandbox will not let an app write to the folder a file came from without asking the user to confirm that folder first, every time.
Writing the converted file beside the original, silently, is the entire product. So Arazio is sold directly instead, which means Apple's notarization but not Apple's store.

Buy and activate, or go straight to your first conversion — though you will want a licence before long.
