Formats
TAR.GZ files
A TAR that has been compressed with GZIP. The standard way to ship a folder of files outside Windows.
Convert TAR.GZ to
Arazio converts TAR.GZ to six formats. All of them sit on the ring.
Tools that work on TAR.GZ
Hold ⌥ over a TAR.GZ instead of ⇧ and these appear. They change the file without changing its format.
What it keeps
- Lossless — converting into it does not degrade the image.
Where the file goes
Beside the original, in the same folder, with the same name and a new extension. Nothing is overwritten and nothing is uploaded — see Privacy and permissions.
Extensions: .tar.gz, .tgz · Category: archive · The seven formats on TAR.GZ's ring — hold ⇧ and they appear around the cursor.
