Formats
GZIP files
A single compressed file, like BZ2 — usually wrapped around a TAR, which is where .tar.gz comes from.
Convert GZIP to
Arazio converts GZIP to five formats. All of them sit on the ring.
Tools that work on GZIP
Hold ⌥ over a GZIP instead of ⇧ and these appear. They change the file without changing its format.
What it keeps
- Lossless — converting into it does not degrade the image.
Where the file goes
Beside the original, in the same folder, with the same name and a new extension. Nothing is overwritten and nothing is uploaded — see Privacy and permissions.
Extensions: .gz · Category: archive · The six formats on GZIP's ring — hold ⇧ and they appear around the cursor.
