Formats
XZ files
A single compressed file like GZIP, squeezed harder and slower. Usually wrapped around a TAR.
Convert XZ to
Arazio converts XZ to five formats. All of them sit on the ring.
Tools that work on XZ
Hold ⌥ over a XZ instead of ⇧ and these appear. They change the file without changing its format.
What it keeps
- Lossless — converting into it does not degrade the image.
Where the file goes
Beside the original, in the same folder, with the same name and a new extension. Nothing is overwritten and nothing is uploaded — see Privacy and permissions.
Extensions: .xz · Category: archive · The six formats on XZ's ring — hold ⇧ and they appear around the cursor.
