# End User Licence Agreement

**Arazio for macOS**

This is the agreement between you and the developer of Arazio ("we", "us")
covering your use of the software. Please read it before installing.

## 1. Licence granted

On purchase you receive a **perpetual, non-exclusive licence** to install and
use Arazio on any Mac that you personally own or that is assigned to you at
work. There is no device activation limit, and no online check is required to
keep using it.

The software is licensed, not sold. We retain ownership of the code.

## 2. What you may do

- Install Arazio on as many of your own Macs as you like.
- Use it for personal or commercial work, including client work.
- Convert and process any files you have the right to convert and process.
- Keep using the version you bought, indefinitely.

## 3. What you may not do

- Redistribute, resell, sublicense, rent, or lend the software.
- Share your licence key publicly or with people outside your household or
  organisation.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to circumvent the licensing, except
  where such a restriction is void under the law that applies to you.
- Remove or alter copyright or licence notices.

## 4. Your licence and activation

Arazio requires a licence to use. There is no trial, and nothing is
watermarked, limited, or held back for a paid tier — the app you download is
the whole app, and it converts nothing until a key is entered.

Buyers receive the app directly after purchase. Updates are published openly at
`updates.arazioformac.com` so that the app can update itself, which means the
application file is publicly downloadable; the licence, not the download, is
what you are buying.

Your licence activates **one Mac at a time**. Entering your key contacts the
licensing service once to claim that activation; afterwards Arazio works
offline. You may move the licence between Macs as often as you like: choose
**Move to Another Mac** on the machine you are leaving, then enter the key on
the new one. If a Mac is lost, broken, or sold before you could release it,
email support and the activation will be freed — you will not be asked to buy
a second licence.

Arazio re-checks your licence at most once a week. If that check cannot reach
the network it is ignored and the app keeps working; a connection problem will
never stop you converting a file.

## 5. Updates

Bug fixes and improvements to the version you bought are provided at no charge.
A future major version may be a paid upgrade. We will say so clearly rather than
switching your licence off.

## 6. Third-party components

Arazio includes open-source components under their own licences, most notably
**FFmpeg** under the LGPL v2.1. The full list, with source references and how
each obligation is met, is in `LICENSES.md` and in the app's About window.

FFmpeg is dynamically linked, so you are free to replace it with your own build.
Nothing in this agreement restricts rights granted to you by those licences.

## 7. Warranty

Arazio is provided "as is". We have tested it carefully, but we cannot warrant
that it is free of defects or suitable for every purpose.

**Keep your originals.** Arazio never modifies or deletes a source file — it
writes a new one alongside — but no software should be the only copy of
something you care about.

## 8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to what you paid
for the software. We are not liable for lost profits, lost data, or other
indirect losses.

Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations. Where that is so, they do not
apply to you, and nothing here affects your non-excludable consumer rights.

## 9. Termination

The licence ends if you materially breach these terms. You may stop using
Arazio at any time by deleting it.

## 10. Governing law

This agreement is governed by the laws of India. If you are a consumer
elsewhere, you keep the protections of your local consumer law regardless.
