Formats
TAR files
A bundle of files with no compression at all — which is why it is almost always paired with GZIP or BZ2.
Convert TAR to
Arazio converts TAR to five formats. All of them sit on the ring.
Tools that work on TAR
Hold ⌥ over a TAR instead of ⇧ and these appear. They change the file without changing its format.
What it keeps
- Lossless — converting into it does not degrade the image.
Where the file goes
Beside the original, in the same folder, with the same name and a new extension. Nothing is overwritten and nothing is uploaded — see Privacy and permissions.
Extensions: .tar · Category: archive · The six formats on TAR's ring — hold ⇧ and they appear around the cursor.
