Privacy
Online converters need you to upload a copy of your file. That puts private documents, photos and their metadata on a server you do not control.
Your file leaves your Mac, so you have to trust how another service stores, processes and deletes it — and how long it keeps the copy.
The engines have no networking code at all — the bundled FFmpeg is compiled
with --disable-network, and a test fails the build if a networking
symbol appears. Arazio contacts us for two things only: activating your
licence, and asking whether a newer version exists. Neither ever sees a
file, and update checks can be switched off.

Yes. Select as many files as you like and drag them together — the ring shows what all of them can become, and every one is converted. A hundred images to JPEG is the same gesture as one.
Tools work on a selection too, and Arazio asks only as much as it has to. Compress and Resize take one setting for the whole batch, or you can tick Set each file individually and give them their own. Crop, Trim and Split always ask per file, because a crop chosen on one photo is the wrong crop on another — so the sheet walks the selection, one file at a time, and converts each as you finish with it. By the time you have answered for the last file the rest are already done.
One kind at a time, though: images with images, videos with videos. A photo and a PDF are not one job, and Arazio says so rather than guessing.
One at a time, and you can move it whenever you like — open Arazio on the old Mac, choose Move to Another Mac, then enter your key on the new one. If a Mac is lost or sold before you could release it, email support and we will free the activation.

The App Store sandbox will not let an app write to the folder your file came from without a save dialog, and "the file appears next to the original" is the product. Arazio is notarized by Apple and distributed directly instead.
