# Edit Metadata

Opens what a file already says about itself — title, author, description, copyright, date, album, track — and lets you change it. Editing a picture never re-encodes it, so correcting a caption costs no quality, and the edit goes back into the file you dragged rather than leaving a second copy beside it. A photo that records where it was taken can be made to forget.

## How to reach it

Pick the file up in Finder, hold Option, and let go toward **Edit Metadata**.

## What it accepts

Any audio or image or pdf or video file Arazio reads: 3GP, AAC, AIFF, AVI, AVIF, BMP, FLAC, FLV, GIF, HEIC, ICO, JPG, M4A, M4V, MKV, MOV, MP3, MP4, MPEG, OGG, Opus, PDF, PNG, TIFF, WAV, WebM, WebP, WMV.

## What it writes

A new file in the same format, beside the original.
