# AVI files

Microsoft's old video container. Still produced by some cameras and a great deal of old software, and large for what it holds.

## Convert AVI to

GIF, M4A, M4V, MKV, MOV, MP3, MP4, WebM.

## Tools that work on AVI

Hold Option rather than Shift: Compress, Crop, Extract Audio, Merge, Remove Audio, Resize, Split, Strip Metadata, Trim.

## Where the file goes

Beside the original, same folder, same name, new extension. Nothing is overwritten and nothing is uploaded.

Extensions: .avi · Category: video
