# AIFF files

Apple's uncompressed audio format. A WAV by another name, for most purposes.

## Convert AIFF to

AAC, FLAC, M4A, MP3, OGG, Opus, WAV.

## Tools that work on AIFF

Hold Option rather than Shift: Compress, Merge, Normalize, Split, Strip Metadata, Trim.

## Where the file goes

Beside the original, same folder, same name, new extension. Nothing is overwritten and nothing is uploaded.

Extensions: .aiff, .aif · Category: audio
